Help with Acrobat Reader Files

When I click on a link to download a sample page, it looks like it starts to download, but a blank screen appears.

This seems to be a browser bug involving older versions of Acrobat Reader and Microsoft Internet Explorer. Make sure you are using the latest version of Acrobat Reader. You can download it for free here.

Upgrading to the latest version of the Reader should fix the problem. If it doesn't, here is a workaround.

  1. Right-click (for Windows) or hold the mouse down when you click (for Mac) on the sample file link until the menu appears.
  2. Select "Save Target As..." This lets you save the sample file to your local hard drive.
  3. Open the file on your hard drive by double-clicking it. This should launch Acrobat Reader.
