Teacher Created Materials Announces New President

HUNTINGTON BEACH - August 17, 2009 -- Educational publisher, Teacher Created Materials (TCM), announced today that its publisher, Corinne Burton, will assume the role of president, following in the footsteps of the company's CEO and founder, Rachelle Cracchiolo. Ms. Cracchiolo will remain on as chief executive officer and will be focused on strategic growth opportunities for the 32 year-old company.

Corinne joined Teacher Created Materials full time in 2000 and in 2005 she began Shell Education, in partnership with Deanne R. Mendoza.

Corinne's extensive experience at Teacher Created Materials and Shell Education brings an in-depth understanding of operations, finance, sales/marketing, and editorial to the table. Her comprehensive insight and leadership has helped to yield tremendous growth for Teacher Created Materials -- catapulting the company into a successful organization that operates throughout the United States and over 96 countries around the world.

Prior to joining Teacher Created Materials full time, and after earning her Masters in Educational Technology from Teacher's College at Columbia University, Corinne taught at the elementary level at Capistrano Unified School District in Southern California. As a strong advocate for education, Corinne continues to work with schools and districts to understand the needs of educators, celebrate the achievement of students, and support districts, parents and teachers. Her intense respect and appreciation for educators and their contributions have helped Corinne translate educational needs into award-winning, viable resources that continuously help to expand Teacher Created Materials.
