Description:

As an educator, you are charged with developing and improving young students' literacy skills. You know that students have different abilities and needs, and you can't be everywhere at once or teach several levels at the same time. Or can you? This new seminar provides the answers and strategies for dealing with these issues.

Using centers not only gives students opportunities to explore, examine, and increase knowledge, it also gives you, as a teacher, the freedom and flexibility to make the most effective use of instructional time and meet the diverse needs of all students.

"How to Successfully Implement Literacy Learning Centers in Grades K-3" provides instructions, strategies, and guidelines for setting up long-lasting, fun, and effective learning centers to promote greater literacy for all students.

Find Out How To:

  • Enhance the literacy skills of all your students with their various learning paces and abilities.
  • Obtain TONS of learning center ideas that are easy to use.
  • Manage centers to reinforce skills and concepts introduced in classroom lessons.
  • Get the best results from your literacy learning centers.
  • Identify the best hands-on activities to make learning centers more fun and exciting.
  • Think of learning centers as your "extra set of hands" or your "extra classroom aide."
  • Connect the centers to your classroom curriculum.
  • Assess students' progress when using literacy centers.
  • Use learning centers to encourage students to take responsibility for educating themselves and become lifelong learners.
