Dede Dodds was a classroom teacher for over 25 years and a university-level instructor at California State Polytechnic University in Pomona, CA. Dede co-authored numerous books focusing on early childhood learning, literacy centers, and classroom management.

Formerly, Nicole was the Elementary Literacy Coach for Hemet USD providing ongoing professional development since 2008 to elementary teachers based on student needs. Hallie Kay Yopp is Professor of Elementary and Bilingual Education at California State University, Fullerton. She co-directs the 23-campus system's Center for the Advancement of Reading and is an inductee into the California Reading Hall of Fame.
