Primary Source Readers: More Information
Each kit includes:
6 copies each of 16 titles (96 books total)
These content-rich, 24-page readers contain historical information written at two levels:
8 biographies written at a Grade 4 reading level and 8 topic-based books written at a Grade 5 reading level. They are great for differentiated instruction!
Teacher's Guide
The lesson plans cover social studies content and process skills; provide practice in nonfiction reading and writing; and contain document-based assessments.
16 primary source transparencies
The primary source overheads reinforce the historical content from the readers; provide teachers with a means of teaching whole-class lessons; and introduce primary-source analysis skills to students. Each overhead has a corresponding lesson in the teacher's guide.
Teacher Resource CD
The CD contains a PowerPoint® presentation of each reader for large-group reading instruction.
