Currently teaching technology related classes at the district level in Beaverton, Oregon, Eric also presents workshops, seminars, and sessions to educators at various venues and conferences around the country. Eric has authored, coauthored, and edited several educational resources for Teacher Created Materials including the award-winning TechTools Resource Kits series.
His background in the field of science is very extensive and includes the development of veterinary diagnostic products currently on the market, and featured article in the Journal of Clinical Microbiology.
Karie F. Gladis, M.S.Ed.
Presenter, Targeted Mathematics Intervention
Karie Gladis is currently Director of Education with Teacher Created Materials and plays an integral role in Professional Development and Product Training. Her extensive training background spans several years including instruction to administrators, and teachers. As a Math and Science Editor for Teacher Created Materials, Karie was instrumental in the development of several products including Active Algebra: Algebra I and Algebra Readiness, TechTools Resource Kit for TI Graphing Calculators, Exploring Math, and Reader's Theater. Karie also taught in the classroom for 5 years and during that time, she designed and facilitated science and math parent workshops.
Karie received a Masters Degree in Urban Education with an emphasis in Teaching English as a Second Language from Florida International University, Miami, Florida, and a BS in Elementary Education from the University of Wisconsin.
