Her work has resulted in recognition in the industry by being nominated to sit on the board of the American Association of Publishers PreK–12 Learning Group. She was also recently recognized as Woman of the Year by California Assemblymen, Travis Allen.

Prior to joining Teacher Created Materials, Deanne worked for Coca-Cola North American. She was an Instructor of Business Communication at the University of Southern California in the Marshall School of Business. While in college, Deanne had the opportunity to work for the Los Angeles Host Committee for the Democratic National Convention and in the office of then Mayor, Richard J. Riordan.

Deanne earned her Bachelor's degree from the University of Southern California's Annenberg School of Communication, graduating as a Renaissance Scholar with minors in Business and Engineering. She continued her education at USC, obtaining a Master's of Business Administration.
