Lewis and Clark

Act out the story of two captains, Lewis and Clark, on a mission to find a water route to the Pacific Ocean, and a Shoshone woman named Sacagawea who helps them along their journey over the Rocky Mountains.

The roles in this adventurous script are written at different reading levels. This feature allows teachers to easily implement differentiation and English language learner strategies and assign specific roles to students in a way that accommodates individual reading skills. Every student will feel successful and enjoy improving their fluency through performance!

Students will also practice interacting cooperatively and using expressive voices and gestures. With an accompanying poem and song for additional fluency practice, this script is a dynamic resource for third and fourth grade students.
