Lisa Zamosky, M.A., earned her Master’s degree from the University of Southern California and worked in the health care field in New York City for more than ten years before becoming a freelance writer. Lisa has written more than 40 titles for the education market and also writes articles involving scientific and medical research, covering medicine, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, fitness, nutrition, and the health care system for consumer and business magazines, both in print and on the Web.
Carmen Zuñiga Dunlap, Ph.D. is a professor in the Department of Elementary and Bilingual Education at California State University, Fullerton, where she also served as the founding Associate Dean of the College of Education. Her teaching and research interests focus on literacy and second language development. Dr. Zuniga Dunlap assisted in developing and establishing the multilingual-multicultural K-6 school. She has worked as a bilingual teacher in Illinois and Arizona and has taught English learners in Brazil, Mexico, and the West Indies. Her publications have appeared in a variety of professional education journals.
