Lesley Mandel Morrow, Ph.D., is a Professor of Literacy at Rutgers University’s Graduate School of Education and a past president of the International Reading Association. A former classroom teacher and reading specialist, she now conducts research on strategies for enhancing early literacy development with children and families from diverse backgrounds. Dr. Morrow has authored more than 300 publications and has won numerous awards in the field of reading and literacy, including the IRA’s Lifetime Achievement Award.
