Maureen R. Gerard, Ph.D.

Maureen R. Gerard, Ph.D., is Coordinator of the Office of Professional Field Experience at Arizona State University at the West Campus where she directs clinical experiences for pre-service teachers. Her scholarly interests include research in effective teacher preparation, early childhood education, and emergent literacy practices. She has published in the areas of family involvement in the early childhood classroom, using environmental print as an instructional literacy tool, and using reader’s theater for early reading fluency.
