Barbara Moss, Ph.D., is a Professor of Literacy Education at San Diego State University. She spent 20 years in the public schools in Ohio, where she was an English teacher, a reading specialist, and a reading coach. She has written numerous books, peer-reviewed articles, and curricular materials. Her research interests focus on disciplinary literacy, particularly teacher uses of informational texts in the classroom.
