Michael Murphy, Ph.D., is a national educational coach, facilitator, and consultant. He draws from 36 years of educational experience as he trains and works with teachers, teacher and school leaders, and district leaders across the United States. Dr. Murphy has worked as a teacher, elementary specialist, assistant principal, principal, director of planning and evaluation, special assistant to the superintendent, assistant superintendent, and acting superintendent. His current work has been met with huge success in urban, suburban, and rural settings. It supports school leaders in planning and implementing large-scale improvement initiatives, understanding change and its impact on people, evaluating school improvement progress, designing exceptional professional learning, and facilitating learning in how to engage people in productive, relationship-rich, results-based conversations. He has published numerous articles for national journals and has been a contributing or lead author on four educational books in the last 15 years.
