Strategies for Writing from Sources
Today's students must be able to draw evidence, reasons, and ideas from various sources. This how-to guide provides teachers with all the information they need to help their students write from sources. It allows students to analyze various texts to help improve their own writing as they gain a deeper understanding of the sources through close reading and critical analysis.
Each section contains five lessons that are specific to the grade spans K-1, 2-3, 4-5, 6-8, and 9-12. Lessons are organized in the following categories:
