Focused Instruction Reading and Mathematics Intervention

Teacher-led intervention to complement your core curriculum

Deliver targeted K–8 support through flexible lessons, assessments, actionable reports, and print and digital resources.

Impactful Intervention

We built flexible supplemental intervention programs with the tools to let you lead and meet students' unique needs. Focused Instruction for reading and math maximizes every instructional moment to get to the heart of the goal—students’ success—in as little as 30 minutes a day.

What Are the Focused Instruction Programs?

Focused Instruction is a supplemental K–8 intervention program for reading and mathematics. Each program provides 30 standards-aligned lessons per grade, a flexible five-part lesson structure, multiple assessment types, real-time reporting options, and pacing plans that help educators respond to specific student needs.

How Does Focused Instruction Fit Into Existing Schedules?

Focused Instruction complements an existing core curriculum with targeted reading or mathematics support. Flexible pacing options allow educators to use the program with a whole class, in small groups, or with individual students.

Students can receive one targeted lesson sequence or participate in a broader set of lessons based on assessment results and instructional needs. This flexibility allows schools to provide intervention when and where it is needed without assigning every student to the complete program.

How Do Assessments Guide Intervention?

Standards-aligned, auto-graded assessments help educators identify specific learning needs and make timely instructional decisions. Clear, color-coded reports connect assessment results to the lessons that address the skills or standards each student needs to develop.

Educators can use these results to create targeted instructional plans for whole-class, small-group, or individual intervention and monitor student progress over time.

How Does Focused Instruction Support Teachers?

Focused Instruction is teacher-led, keeping educators at the center of intervention. Rather than depending on screen-delivered instruction, the program provides print and digital resources that teachers can use to respond directly to student needs.

Softly scripted lessons, consistent instructional routines, ready-to-use presentation slides, assessments, and actionable reports help educators determine what to teach, when to teach it, and which students need additional support.

How Does Focused Instruction Meet Individual Student Needs?

Assessment results help educators identify the skills each student needs to develop and select the appropriate instruction. Students can receive a targeted lesson sequence or participate in the broader program based on their learning needs.

Engaging texts, games, mathematical tasks, guided practice, and collaborative activities help students develop academic skills while building confidence.

K–8 Math Intervention

Discover Math Intervention

Build confident, capable math learners—one targeted lesson at a time.

Focused Instruction: Mathematics Intervention addresses student’s skill gaps and builds confidence through structured, flexible instruction. 30 standard-aligned lessons per grade level are grounded in the Concrete-Representational-Abstract (CRA) method. Lessons move from hands-on manipulatives to visual models and abstract symbols, helping students develop conceptual understanding. Students make meaningful math connections while practicing procedural fluency, discourse, and problem solving.
