TCM Leveled Texts, K-8 (Texas Edition)

Take students from skills practice to skills mastery with flexible-use fiction and nonfiction text passages! This site license provides access to 1380 digital passages from a wide variety of genres. With customizable lesson templates and a digital index that allows teachers to sort passage titles by content area, genre, and reading level, TCM Leveled Texts makes it incredibly easy for teachers to quickly find texts for additional practice and tailor lessons for the selected text or specific learners. These leveled, flexible texts are ideal for any instructional setting including tutorials, small- and whole-group instruction, and before- and after-school programs.

TCM Leveled Texts also includes nine model comprehension skills lessons that address key comprehension skills that align to Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). Each lesson includes an introduction to the comprehension skill, teacher models and prompts, and skill-specific language frames to support English language learners. Ten STAAR Spotlight assessments per grade level are also included, providing STAAR-style comprehension and vocabulary questions for ten selected passages.
