My Sight Words Readers

Create a love for reading in your youngest students.

Bring the joy of independent reading to new and emerging readers with My Sight Words Readers. Students will learn to recognize the most frequently-used words in written English. Research shows that students who master high-frequency words read with greater confidence and fluency. The 100 words students will study throughout the series make up roughly 50 percent of words used in print.

Overview

Teacher Created Materials developed this program to teach words that children will encounter most often, helping them become strong, confident readers.

• Build strong word recognition and background knowledge with paired, full-color books.
• Focus on the same high-frequency words in a different context with each reader pair.
• Utilize the accompanying Management Guide to provide support for early literacy instruction with research, management tips, additional activities, standards correlations, and more.
• Implement before, during, and after reading activities in the teacher pages in each lesson.
• Provide additional practice in for workstations or centers with accompanying full-color activity pages for students.
• Integrate technology with PDFs of books, printable activities, templates, and bookmarks, as well as professional audio recordings.
