Teacher Created Materials and Nonprofit iCivics Partner to Create Engaging Civic Literacy Kits for Grades K-5

iCivics Readers provide K-5 educators with a fresh, easy, engaging way to teach civics skills through nonfiction and fiction literature paired with lesson plans, games, and hands-on activities.

Each iCivics Readers kit includes 10 leveled readers that integrate literacy with civic education. Compelling stories that feature both fiction and nonfiction content help students make concrete connections to key civics topics. Along with the readers are strong digital support, lessons for teachers, and Game Cards providing students with fun opportunities to apply their knowledge.

This series is designed to help students gain civics knowledge, practice civics skills, and develop a civics mindset. They also promote civic discourse and critical thinking.
